SEKONG:- Batu Sapi Member of Parliament Datuk
Linda Tsen Thau Lin highlighted several issues on public safety in her
constituency during her meeting with OCPD ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin yesterday.
Linda who was accompanied by her officers including Head
Liaison Officer Kong Nyuk Thou paid a courtesy call on Mohd Azhar at his office
in the District Police Headquarters.
Mohd Azhar has succeeded ACP Zabidi Md Zain as the Sandakan
district police chief last month.
Also present during the meeting were district Special Branch
chief DSP Zakaria A Rahim, Head of district Crime Prevention and Community
Safety Department (JPJKK) DSP Malek Dolusin and Head of district Management
Division DSP Mohd Sharul Datuk Abd Wahab.
Among the issues which Linda brought to the attention of
Mohd Azhar were the occurrences of thefts in the early hours of the day where
hawkers had fallen victims and burglaries at Taman Mawar.
Linda called on the district police to the take necessary
measures in curbing these crimes and arrest those responsible.
On the break-ins, Mohd Azhar informed Linda that police had
made arrests and solved some of the cases.
