SANDAKAN:
One of the district’s promising young
sailors Jack Ang Tsun Kiat has been selected by the State Sports Council to
participate in the KFC-Selangor Open Regatta from Aug 14 to 18.
The
Form One student of Sung Siew Secondary School, will be joining 18 sailors from other parts of
the State in Kota Kinabalu before travelling to Kuala Lumpur to take part in
the event.
Another Sandakan sailor Adele
Lim was unable to join the team due to a function at her school.

The
KFC-Selangor Open Regatta which will be held at Pantai Batu Laut in Selangor is
a national ranking event. Sailors from throughout the country will be taking
part in this annual event.

and his father Ang Lian Hook met with Sandakan Yacht Club (SYC) commodore
Daniel Liaw and Rear Commodore James Leong to update them on his preparations
for the event.
On
his return from Selangor, Jack together with Adele, Abby Lau and Sharron Hung
will be representing SYC in the KFC/ NSC 21st Merdeka Day Open
Regatta 2014 organized by Kinabalu Yacht Club and Sabah Sailing Association in
Kota Kinabalu from Aug 29-31.
