 DEAD BODY....Police found two dead bodies near by construction site
SANDAKAN:- Bodies of two men with gunshot wounds were found at a construction housing site at the 4th Mile Taman Casa Uno  in Sandakan at 11.50. am yesterday 
The victims were identified as Corporal Madaini Awang, a police General Operations Force man attached to Battalion 15 in Sandakan, and a security guard at the construction site, Ibni Hashim. Both were in their 40s.
Sabah  Criminal Investigation Department head Senior Asst Commissioner Omar Mammah said Madaini was shot in the head while Ibni had gunshot wounds to the head and shoulder.
“We also recovered a pistol, belonging to Madaini, next to the bodies, and are investigating whether it was used to shoot the two victims,” he said, adding the bodies were sent to the district hospital for a post-mortem.
Omar ruled out robbery as the victims’ belongings were found on them.
He said no arrests had been made so far and investigations were going on to establish a motive for the double murder.
“We were informed that there were a lot of construction workers working there during the incident.
“But most of the witnesses fled the area as they were believed to be illegal immigrants. We call on witnesses to contact us.”
