Dear Sir,

As Head of Parti Islam seMalaysia (PAS), Batu Sapi Division, I found that the statement made by BOPIM President, Daniel John Jambun as utter disgusting and most deplorable, statement issued in Daily Express, 3rd February, 2014, on the issue of conversion among some Pitas villagers.

Daniel John Jambun had even gone overboard by implicating the late Tun Mustapha and branding him as having fraudulently undertaken mass conversion among those people who have willingly converted to Islam. Daniel John Jambun had even abused and degraded the late Tun Mustapha who had contributed so much towards Sabah's independence and economic development by calling the era of the USNO-led government as Mustapha Government

I wish to remind Daniel John that there is no such thing as Mustapha Government. It is either the USNO-led government or the Sabah Alliance government comprising political parties of diverse racial and religious beliefs of which the late Tun Mustapha was one of the Chief Ministers in one of those periods that the governments were in power.

It is very rude and very unethical of Daniel John by condemning leaders who have since passed away. It is against our very Islamic principles and against the teaching of our beloved prophet Muhammad saw. I demanded Daniel John to retract his rude words and tender his apology to the family members of Allahyarham Tun Mustapha

On Daniel John's threat to drag JHEAINS into legal battle by bringing the conversion issue affecting Pitas villagers to the court of law, the choice is entirely Daniel John's. I can only advise Daniel John not to go overzealous by belittling Islam and JHEAINS, a body entrusted to look after the welfare of the Muslims, lest it will unnecessarily caused hatred and animosity among the Christian and the Muslim followers.

 Yours Faithfully

HJ. HAMZAH HJ. ABDULLAH HEAD, PAS BATU SAPI DIVISION
