Upko leadership balanced with new faces – Komulakan

RANAU: UPKO’s Komulakan movement welcomes the effort to strengthen the party with the inclusion of new and young faces in the party new line-up.
Its Chief, Ewon Benedick said the line-up reflects the party’s aspiration towards leadership transition and transformation which is vital to ensure the party remains relevant to the people it represents.
“We especially would like thank our President, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok and Deputy President, Datuk Madius Tangau for appointing two representatives from the Komulakan Movement that is me and my deputy, Eldy Yakin Sinit. With this appointment, we believe in  strengthening the struggle for justice and rights of our people,” said Ewon.
Dompok officially announced the new party line up on Tuesday.
Among the young faces were Georgina George, Lightson Kohiya, Kennedy John and Felix Joseph in addition to Conrad Wong, Denison Idang and Carl Mosoom who won in party election.
“With more roles given to the younger generation in the party, we believe in continuing the party’s principled based leadership with focus, daring and sincere.
“The establishment of Komulakan Movement has proven to be the best approach by the party to gauge young talents and give as much exposure as possible be in the party or government role in order for them to be ready to carry the party in the future,” he said.
Ewon who is also Upko Kota Belud Chief reiterated that all members in all party hierarchy must now get back to work, strengthening unity and pursue the struggle of the party. BI
